SMM 2-High Stands are manufactured in two types and various dimensions tobe used as Roughing, Intermediate and Finishing Stands. Our products have the guarantee for engineering, manufacturing and quality. The housings are controlled ultrasonically and radiographically, sand-blasted and heat-treated for normalization. All necessary quality control tests are aplied after machining and shop erection.
Some features of our 2-High Stands are as follows;
Because of their high rigidity, a close-tolerance of the rolled product is obtained. The rolls are supported with grease lubricated roller bearings. The lower rolls are axially adjusted through hinged clamps and tie rods located on one side of the stand. Entry and exit rest bars are vertically adjustable. The stands are simply operated and requires low maintenance.
The stands are suitable to be used as horizantal and vertical both. If desired, hydraulicalby actuated wedges may be used to secure the stands on baseplates.
If the pass line is desired to be fixed, a hydraulically actuated system which traverses the stands in relation to the passed may be added. |
